Terms and Conditions of Booking

By booking an event with Original Dating, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

MySpeedDate and Original Dating is a trading name of The Business Refinery Limited.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Tickets and Attendance

  • Please arrive on time. Late arrival or early departure may result in forfeiture of your place without refund.

  • Tickets and advance credits are non-refundable except where required by law or where we cancel or materially change an event.

  • We cannot guarantee a you will meet specific number of attendees, gender balance, or age distribution.

Booking Flexibility

  • Customers who purchase Booking Flexibility may change their booking up to 12 hours before the event using their online account only.

  • Bookings without Booking Flexibility cannot be changed or transferred due to the ratio-sensitive nature of events.

  • Name changes and same-gender substitutions may be permitted at our discretion.

Event Changes or Cancellation

  • Venues and event details may change in exceptional circumstances.

  • Should we have to cancel an event for any reason outside of our control tickets will not be refunded. Instead, an event credit will be issued. Credits can be redeemed against any standard speed dating event on our rolling programme as listed on our website.

  • Credits are valid for 6 months unless otherwise stated.

Conduct

You agree to behave respectfully towards other guests, hosts and venue staff.

We may remove or ban any participant where we reasonably believe they have breached our Code of Conduct. No refund will be provided in such cases.

Safety and Liability

  • You attend events at your own risk.

  • We cannot verify the identity or background of participants.

  • Personal belongings remain your responsibility.

  • We are not responsible for acts or omissions of independent venues or third parties.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to this, our total liability is limited to the ticket price paid.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellation or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to venue issues, transport disruption, illness, government restrictions, or severe weather.

Website and Intellectual Property

All content on our website and apps is owned by Original Dating and may not be reproduced without permission.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites.

Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Photography

Events may be photographed for promotional purposes. Please inform the host if you do not wish to appear in photos.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

Nature of Service

Original Dating provides social events and does not operate as a dating or matchmaking agency.
